ถ่าย

v. 1. to transfer, to change, to pass on, to relay;

2. to evacuate; 3. to make, to take, to model after; 4. to shoot; 5. to translate, to transliterate, to adapt.

ถ่ายน้ำ (to remove water from one vessel to another, to replace with fresh water (as in a boiler or aquarium), ถ่ายท้อง (to purge (as resulting from a disease)), ถ่ายยา (to purge (as with a drug)), ถ่ายแบบ (to convey from one surface to another (as a drawing)), ถ่ายรูป (to take or make a photograhp), ถ่ายเท (merciful, lenient, forgivign, forbearing).
